Health and Safety Policy

Your health and safety policy statement is the starting point to managing health and safety in the workplace and sets out how you manage health and safety in your organisation. It is a unique document that shows who does what and when and how they do it.

Construction Phase Plan

A construction phase health and safety plan is the most important strategic and compliant management tool in safeguarding health and safety on site. To be effective the plan must be developed as construction work proceeds. The construction phase health and safety plan is designed to assist the principal contractor in the day-to-day management of all health and safety issues throughout the construction process.

Fire Risk Assessment

In England and Wales new rules introduced in October 2006 have replaced most existing fire safety legislation. Fire certificates are no longer required, and the emphasis is on preventing fires and reducing risk.

Anyone who has some control over premises must take reasonable steps to reduce the risk from fire and make sure people can escape safely if there is a fire. The regulations apply to all non-domestic premises.

Assistance with Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) and Constructionline Applications

We have vast experience with assisting clients with CHAS and Constructionline applications and identifying and gathering the information that is required. By becoming compliant with these schemes it will benefit your business and should greatly reduce the need for further health and safety form filling.

Business Audits

A good starting point for your business would be to have a full health and safety audit on your Company to establish what is already in place. This will identify where further procedures are needed. Craven Safety Services can carry out an audit as a one off, or we can carry this through to assisting with the implementation of the procedures required.

CDM Co-ordinator (the clients friend)

We are able to undertake the role of CDM Co-ordinator to enable the client to discharge some of their legal duties under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007.
